The end-of-day update

The note you get before we leave each day

Clear communication on every job, so you're never wondering about progress. Before we leave each working day, you get a short note: what we finished, what comes tomorrow, a photo, and anything we need from you.

Sample update

  1. Done today: Second coat on the living room walls and the hallway ceiling.
  2. Tomorrow: Living room trim and doors, then we pull the tape.
  3. Photo: The finished ceiling line in the living room.
  4. From you: Nothing today. The hallway is clear to use tonight.

A sample, written for the demo. Your updates describe your own job.

The Never-in-the-Dark process

How a job runs, in four steps

  1. An open living and dining room with a cream sofa, a fireplace between oak shelves, a round dining table and a wall of windows onto autumn trees

    Consultation and proposal

Tell us about the project online or request a walkthrough. We walk the rooms with you, then send a detailed written quote: every room, every coat, one total.

  2. A calm bedroom in warm greige with a made white bed, two oak nightstands with lamps and a landscape painting above

    Meticulous prep

We scrape, sand, patch and caulk, and prime wherever the surface calls for it. We mask and drop everything to protect your belongings.

  3. A white kitchen with a deep green island, a butcher-block top, four woven stools and two nickel pendants

    Expert application

Premium coatings go on in clean lines and even coats, and before we leave each day you get a short update on where things stand.

  4. A reading nook with a cognac leather armchair between dark built-in bookshelves and a tall window

    Final walkthrough

We don't consider the job done until you've personally inspected and signed off on the work. Once you're satisfied, the job is complete and our warranty begins.

Questions

Questions people ask first

Contact us
Is the price in the written quote the price we pay?

Yes. The quoted number is the invoiced number, and it holds unless the job changes. No hidden fees or mid-job surcharges. Your written quote lists every room, every coat and the products, then one total.

How will we know what is happening each day?

Before we leave each working day, you get a short update: what we finished today, what comes tomorrow, a photo, and anything we need from you.

Who will we deal with during the job?

One point of contact from the first walkthrough to the final inspection. The person who quotes your job is the person who inspects it.

Do you work on homes built before 1978?

We are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (NAT-F349471-1). For homes built before 1978, we follow strict RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Painting) protocols to ensure lead dust is contained and disposed of safely.

Can we stay home while you paint?

Yes. A tidy site is a safe site. At the end of every workday, we pack up our tools, vacuum work areas, and ensure your home remains livable throughout the project duration.

What warranty comes with the work?

Our workmanship warranty runs for three years and transfers to the next owner if you sell. It covers peeling, blistering, or chipping paint resulting from improper preparation or application, and we will return to fix it at no cost to you.

Start with a walkthrough of your rooms

Tell us about the job and we reply within 24 to 48 hours to set a walkthrough. We look at the walls, the trim and the prep with you, then send a written quote that names every room, every coat and one total.
